I'm a avid book reader. I usually read two to three books a week but have to admit since my sweetie purchased the Cruz tablet for me I read a lot more. With the tablet I can read faster. It came pre-loaded with the kindle app so I've been reading like crazy. I have so many favorite authors that it's really ridiculous and the list continues to... more »

  • A Deeper Love Inside: The Porsche Santiaga Story

First let me say I am a huge fan of Sister Souljah. I loved both of the Midnight books. I also loved The Coldest Winter Ever but this book shouldn't have been labeled the "sequel" to the coldest winter ever. It started out really slow I mean who really wants to read a story being told by a ten year old (Porsche Santiaga) the younger sister of Winter. It eventually picked up and we learned that Porsche, Ivory or Siri whichever one she was depending on the day was not your average 10 year old. It was nice to hear about Midnight and it wasn't so nice to revisit Winter. Winter hasn't changed that's for sure she continues to think the sun rises and sets on her. Overall I would say it's a good book but really the ending was the best. It took so long for the story to pick up. I lost interest for a bit but I continued reading anyway. If you're expecting it to the sequel you are sadly mistaking!!

Wow what can I say about this one. This was a very good read that I couldn't put down. More than enough drama to keep you hooked from the first to the last page. The ending hints that there may be a part 2. We shall see.

Treasure Blue is THE MAN!! I loved this book from the first page to the last. It's the best book I've read this year so far. Betty is a smart young woman who has her head on straight. I couldn't get enough of her story. It doesn't seem like there will be a part 2 but for once I wouldn't mind if there was!!

It was a good read a little different than the norm from David Weaver but still overall not too bad.

  • The Prada Plan 3: Green-Eyed Monster
    • Rated 3 stars

Hmmm what do I say about this one. First I will say I am a big fan of Ashley and Jaquavis but lately I'm a little disappointe in the book I have purchased. It was quite a wait for Prada plan 3 and it just wasn't that good. So disappointed in how Ya Ya is in this book. Then the battle continues with her and Leah. I'm really tired of there being part 3 then part 4. Really it doesn't take that long to tell a story. I hope book 4 is the end of the Prada plan. If not I don't see myself buying part 5.

OMG what can I say about this book. Meechie was very childish and a hood chick through and through. Shad was too good for her. Rodney on the other hand would've been too good for her also but he caught on to what kind of chick she was unlike Shad. I hate to say it but Meechie got what she deserved in the end. I'm glad Shad found happiness with Jada. Very good read. I really enjoyed it from beginning to end.
