Hello, there. I'm a bibliophile who loves books and hates e-readers. I have a collection of over 500 books, though only a fraction are on this site because I'm lazy. They'll all be up at some point or another. A significant- but still minority- percentage of the books I own have not actually been read, because I accumulate them faster than I read them. I also have a tendency to re-read favorites repeatedly, which also slows down my intake. You'll only see the date I finished reading a book the first time (or as close an estimate I give from memory) because I don't care to artificially add to the number of pages I've read in such a manner.
While I gravitate more towards some genres than others, I won't avoid any book purely based on genre, as long as there's evidence that it is well-written and- when it comes to fictional works- can tell an engaging story.
Well, okay, I read some of them even if they may very well not, if they take place in a universe that I love, like Star Wars. But that's the exception, not the rule. Ah well.
I also am interested in writing creatively, though not as a career. Really, it's not something I do much anyhow.
