Good luck with school this year. My wife began teaching a third grade class this year and she as been extremely busy as well. She teaches writing, grammar, and social studies. I've actually had more free time than I thought I would, (so far anyway.) I hope you have a good year without too many mean kids. lol.
Hey, long time no talk. Well I started my college classes again so i probably wont have a lot of time to read for the next four months, except textbooks that is. Anyways, God bless you and your family and I wish you happy life and reading.
I would have absolutely loved to be an english teacher but ended up choosing a different career path. So I think it's great that you're doing what you're doing. I love literature and am always looking for good recommendations. I'd like to drop by your profile to check out your shelf for ideas of what to read.
so i notice you have to teach a lot of british lit -- almost killed my desire to read in high school when i had to read all that! are there any books you find easier for students to like from that category?
Hi! I just wanted to stop by and say welcome and thank you for joining the 80's group! I hope you find it to be a lot of fun! Please feel free to start any new discussions or add to any old ones listed! Thanks again! Ann
very refreshing and wise.... specially your first reason.. When I was younger, one of my dreams was to be a teacher - it is a profession I respect and hold very dear to my heart atleast in the idealistic hypothetical sense....Anyway I am sending you an invite for I would like to be in touch with someone associated with Literature at more or less the grassroot level...Tell me does finding a bright one in your class excite you and things like that..?
