Let me know how you like My Sister's Keeper.
And I was at the bookstore yesterday and I didn't see Along for the Ride, I'm thinking about asking for it for Christmas. Is it published yet?

    Hi Mrs. Risell,
I really liked My Sister's Keeper. I read it over the summer while I was on vacation and I could not put it down! After I read it I told my mom to, and when she finished she was completely surprised with the ending. I don't think the ending was cheap, though. It gave the book an outcome which I enjoy more then having an ending that doesn't clear things up.
As for the Sarah Dessen book, I have not read that one, but I love all of her books. Maybe when I am finished with Paper Towns I will pick that one up :)

It is amazing, I finally got the sequel on Friday but I still was not feeling well so I read the whole thing Saturday and I thought it was just as good as the first. Now I can't wait for the next one.

I did read We The Living! It was only a month or so after we had finished Anthem. I thought it was pretty good, more of an actual story than Atlas Shrugged or the Fountainhead.

Mrs. Risell! I had a Spanish club officer meeting today and it took longer than I expected, and tomorrow I have an NHS candidates' meeting and Academic Challenge. How's Thursday? :/

I really like Sarah Dessen, you should read at least one of her books! I would love to talk about any of them when you're finished.
By the way, I handed in my Honors essay this morning; I'm crossing my fingers that I'll get a check-plus! Ha ha. I think the Amy Tan story and the essay that accompanied it were a little difficult, but I guess it has to be challenging because it IS an Honors class. My friends and I have talked about it and they all are anxious about getting it back, so we'll see!
The Sparrow sounds like a good book, I'm not into sci-fi too much, although i do read the Twilight series. I don't know if that is considered sci-fi or just fiction. I'm currently reading Eclipse; I'm about half-way through the book. For some reason (and I'm not sure why) the Twilight books seem to go really slow for me. On the other hand, I could read ANY Ellen Hopkins book in a night. I guess it depends.
I'm a little weird when it comes to books. I can read two or three at a time and not get completely confused. I've been reading books with more pages lately so I haven't been endulging in more than one. I guess that's a good thing?
    Anyways,
I hope you have a great weekend!

I read Speak after my Gifted teacher Mrs. Gerhart reccomended it to me, and I loved it! I don't remember too much about it, but I do remember that it was definately one of the most interesting books I've ever read!
Hmm... to answer your question on my favorite book, that is a tough one. I read a LOT and I have plenty of favorites, not one in particular. But, I happen to ADORE Sarah Dessen and I have read most of her books.
If I were to ask you your all-time favorite book it probably would be quite hard as well, but I'm going to ask anyway. What is your favorite book?
And as for the comment on little kids, I think they can also be very hilarious, at least the kids I know are. I'm the oldest out of the grandchildren in my family, so I have plenty of smaller people running around most of the time. Ha ha (:

Hi my name is Kayla and I am looking to be in honors English next year. I love to read and I just got the summer reading list yesterday from Mr Sherman; I read the part about this website and I figured since I love reading I might be able to talk to you about some of the books I have read recently!
