I live in Texas and work at a bookstore. I am currently working on my teaching certification to teach highschool English and/or History. I enjoy reading, cooking, music, soccer, and dancing. I believe you can learn a lot by the books a person reads, just don't judge me until my list is complete. :) It's hard to get all of your collection up... more »

I liked the book, worth reading but it is not one of those happy-go-lucky books. When your reading, dont expect it to have any happy parts added into it just to keep you thinking there will be a happy ending. It was straight forward and in your face. If i had to picture the end of civilization, this book hit it to a T. I dont think I'll see the movie for the book, im afraid it will ruin the image of what i pictured it to be in my head, and make me relive the sadness of it all. Reading anything good right now?

Really!? How soon will you be teaching? Yes. Whether you agree or disagree with her philosophies it's good to get the full grasp of them. i think Anthem, which was the quicker read, presented her ideas more plainly and accessibly. You might read it first.

Yeah I started the Larry McMurtry group on here. Already knew about Rhino Ranch...Was thinking about getting it...I need a new book to read since I just finished "Mercy" by David Lindsey. However today I remembered a book that I wanted and we carried it...It's called "Beyond Belief" by Josh Hamilton.
I checked out Dan Brown's "The Lost Symbol" yesterday, but turned around today and bought it.

Uuuuh, yeah. i found The Fountainhead in my parents bookshelf about two years ago, started it, put it down, then finished it a few weeks ago. Figured that i would go ahead and read the set since i liked it so much. Thanks for the invite.
