So how is the Marked book coming for you? I am on Tempted the last (5 I think). How are the Sookie Stackhouse coming? Got Amanda hooked on them..LOL well haven't seen you in a spell and I haven't been on here in a long while so I thought to see what is up? I have a ton of books here to read but you know how life is you can have a library full of books but still go out and get one that interests you more. HAHA!! ttyl
The world is totally awesome, still. And he introduced an awesome new character, and I'm all like yeah, this guy is gonna be cool and our Author-friend was like, "Yeah, you'd think so, but no." Just Covenant's apathy toward the world he's in is getting old and disgusting.
Hey, so I read the 3 books by C.L. Wilson, the Tairen Soul series. SSSOOOOOOO GOOOD!! I am hooked. Looking for more along this genre now. It has Fey, Mages, Tairen, humans, Elves, Demon's soooo good!!! Suprisingly very teensy amounts of smut and I loved it.
I've got the first chronicle, need the second one bad. These are easy reads, but that's probably because you don't put them down. Their world is so totally awesome. Their whole social structure is based on the Oath of Peace, their whole world abides by this to correct for the Mistake one person made fighting the great evil of their land. It's all about Balance. Not order, not justice, there's no sophistry. It's all about balance.
How far into the Riftwar are you? Have you got the part where Pug is like, yeah, you know what? I control the energies of two worlds, so uh, go eat a bag of dicks.
Yar. I is. Useless tit, bro. I mean, he's the guy, but it's like... if I were thrust into another world and the people lavished accolades upon me, right? They'd be screwed just wouldn't know it at first. 'Cept, they should've figured it out the first night... but no. They're like, "Here, have some cake."
Although, the world is awesome. Probably the coolest fantasy world I've ever read about.
About the True Blood series, I like it but her writing style leaves holes somehow. She gives you the story but it lacks some emotion, so I like the story and it is again low on smut you don't read much other than that they do it, no details, which I am o.k. with. I would recommend it because it is a good story and take on vampires/paranormal (shifters, fairies, etc...). Hope your face recovers quickly (teeeheee), rest well.
I have to work on your list. It isn't converting over well. I will figure it out when I can sit here for more than 5 minutes. I think that you wanting more books are not going to come into fruition, but it is always good to dream. She said in a book club talk that all the characters have a story and she knows them but has no intention of pursuing writing those books. She eluded to being on the fence about midnight sun. Have you read that yet??? Get 'er done! Well I have been sitting here too long my toes are feeling it. Luff.
P.S. Love your perspective on the Jacob-Edward thing. I agree, although with Jacob's book I did see that she was letting us know there would be a solution. But hey I think I was looking really hard for that solution. I want everyone to be happy.
Let me know about the House of Night series, I tried the Vampire Awakenings and it was drivel, very silly. I hated it and couldn't finish the stoopid thing. I saw an interview with the mother-daughter writers talking about the books so I am kinda interested but have my Dark Hunter series is coming along nicely so I may start that soon and I also have collected 2 of the 3 C.L. Wilson Tairen Souls series.
I saw episode 7 of True Blood this last weekend and it was of course the one where she and Bill get intimate. My husband who has polar opposite taste of me watched it too. His reaction was beligerent to say the least. LOL. Well I am going to bring so CD's in so you can burn those soundtracks for me... when do you work next??? Luff (that never happened)
Thanks for the advice, Eric. If we have some extras after all the events planned these next few months, I may send some on here and there. In any case, if you do happen upon Luthiel's Song in your travels, I'd very much like to know what you thought. Best wishes to you!
