  • M or F?
    • Rated 4 stars

M or F was a really great book. I started it last night, and almost 300 pages later, here I am. I couldn't put it down! Marcus and Frannie had such a neat relationship, and the story line was excellent. I loved the way it all turned out. The ending was so sweet, and I had no clue it would turn out that way! A book with a surprise ending is nice, but when the surprise is good? Even better!

  • Candor

Candor was a very good book. A bit melancholy at times, but it held my interest. I had strong feelings about it because the people weren't able to think freely, and it made me angry that someone would even think of taking that ability away from someone, even if it is just a story. Oscar's character was really interesting as well. The author did a wonderful job ending he book too, even if it was no a perfect 'happy ever after' ending.

  • Defining Dulcie

Defining Dulcie was an okay book. It held my interest, but there were many pieces of the story that seemed disconnected or like they were just added as an afterthought. Also, I feel like a few loose ends were tied up without much care just so that the story could "end". I was also a litte saddened by the fact that the story was so short; it didn't cover a very long period of time and I usually prefer longer books. I wouldn't recommend reading it, as I didn't enjoy it much, but if you're looking for a quick read about adventure this would be it.

Overall a very good book. It was interesting, and although I don't usually prefer the teenage drama kind of book, this one was actually good. Like most teenage books the girl mopes around, but at least she actually does something about her problems. It's the classic "I fell in love with my best friend." book, but the fact that she is half mermaid made it a neat and intresting twist. I'm looking forward to reading the next in the series.

This book was not a hit for me. I like to be enthralled right away when I read the first page, but with this book it was hard for me to continue and eventually put it down when I got through the fourth chapter. It's not as similar to "To Kill a Mockingbird" as I thought, and thats where I think my expectations were too high. Also, the point of view it was told from was not within my interest.

  • Almost Perfect

This was a pretty good book. It looks into a lot of issues in today's world and gives the reader a peek into the world of prejudice that homosexual couples deal with in day to day life. I couldn't put it down, but overall it didn't exceed my expectations. Maybe it was the ending, but maybe its just not my type of book.
