Mindy Phillips Lawrence is the author of the poetry collection, One Blue Star: Poems about the Military, Families, War and Peace and co-author of The Complete Writer: Tapping Your Full Potential, both from Red Engine Press (www.redenginepress.com). One of her poems from One Blue Star was selected and performed by That Uppity Theater Company in St. Louis as part of “Peace Out” in 2004. She has had articles published in several magazines, including Writer’s Digest, and speaks to writers' groups.
Mindy has an Itty Bitty Column for writers in Carolyn Howard-Johnson's "Sharing with Writers" newsletter for Author's Coaliition and Red Engine Press.
Mindy was one of five Missouri women writers recently interviewed by Melissa Block of NPR’s “All Things Considered” about the 2006 mid-term elections.
Mindy is the assistant editor at Scribe and Quill (www.scribequill.net) and a member of the Missouri Writers’ Guild, St. Louis Writers’ Guild, Writers Society of Jefferson County, Missouri and the Missouri State Poetry Society.
She is also publicist and literary agent for the work of Dr. Dan Skelton of Conway, Arkansas.
Mindy’s other interests include painting, calligraphy and hot-air balloons. Mindy lives and writes in Missouri.
