I am updating my profile as I have had some members thinking I have had twins, these are my latest grandchildren and as it is now out of date here is a review.
I am young/old lady with four boys who are now fullygrown, Paul, Stephen, Luke and Vincent. Paul is the Father of Zoe and Ben, and Stephen is the father of Sophie and the twins Amy and Chloe. Luke is travelling and working abroad and Vincent is still at home. Jay is Zoe's brother from a new relationship.
My grandchildren Zoe 19yrs is now at work, Jay 14years, Ben 9yrs, Sophie 2 years, 3 in august and the twins, Amy and Chloe who were 1 in May . I have not been so active on Shelfari for the last year as the twins mum had post-natal depression and I have had the children until she could cope again.
I work and am finishing a degree in english and history at Winchester University. love to read, though mainly for the last few years academic books with a few novels. love anything to do with Celtic, Anglo-Saxon language and culture. enjoy romanticism both medieval and 18thcentury. good reads Jean M. Auel Clan of the Cave Bear, any Margaret Attwood, Jean Rhys, redwall series, medieval whodunnits - jecks and Ellis Peters.
Since coming back to Shelfari and reuniting with some good friends I have come to notice my shelves are a mess so am in the process of re-organising them. the first will be the classics: 1-425, then Ancient Classics: Greek, Roman, Old English Literature, Middle English Literature: 426-560, Childrens literature: 561-881, Easy Reading: 882-1034, Historical Fiction: 1035-1227, Mythology/ Spirituality: 1228-1285, Sci-Fi/ Fantasy: 1286-1415, Modern/ Post Modern: 1416-1579, History: 1580-1623, Literature/ Poetry: 1624-1813, Medieval Mystery: 1814 -, this to be updated as books added. I hope this will mke it easier for people looking to find their way around finding old favourites and some new interests to follow up on. Good reading.
My avatar comes from illistrations of Christina Rossetti's poems and you can find it among the Pre-Raphaelite Pictures of women.
