I would recommend The Story of Edgar Sawtelle if you really like dogs. I appreciated all the canine-related details about breeding and training. And it was this book that introduced me to the famous Japanese dog, Hachiko. The story and the language wasn't bad, though not great either. And I didn't like the ending. You probably keep seeing it because Oprah recently added it to her book list, in addition to it already being a bestseller.

sorry it took so long for me to get back to you! i did enjoy sellevision (although the cover is funky), but then again, i like anything by augusten burroughs. i recently read a wolf at the table, which was disturbing..
