My name is Monica, and I'm an avid reader. I've decided to do away with the hassle of keeping a notebook of the books I've read and haven't because I hate redoing it when it gets damaged so I've transfered it to my shelfari shelf. Will keep this updated regularly.

Hi Monica. Good to heat from you. I was disappointedin sizzle to. I loved Mercy and all of the Buchanan brothers, including Noah. I was not too crazy about the youngest brother though. I can't remember the names of the book. Happy Reading to you also.

Hi, would love for you to accept my friend request, I’m the Author of six books about love-romance-life-self-help-strength-spirituality-non-fiction etc. If you are delighted by the two poems below maybe you will consider adding my six books to your shelf. Books are available for sale below, Enjoy. They make great gifts for all occasions and celebrations.

    I Love you

I love you to the moon
I love you to the end of the planets.

I love you till there's no love in the equator
I love you knowing nothing could be greater
I will love you from now until decades later.

Let me love you now not later
    let me love you to
    Northern skies
    Western hemispheres
    without worries, fears or cares.

    Allow me to love you
    until you care
    Open up-heal from old wounds
    that you start to share.

Our love is genuine-it can't compare.
    Now your love has opened
like a brand new gift on Christmas
See what happens when you allow
    someone to love you.

The World As We See It

The world as we see it gone
The world as we see it vague
    The world-our world
    Your world-my world
    God created.

The world as we see it
    No longer pure-safe
The world as we see it
    Wish to run-hide-escape.

The world as we see it gone
The world as we see it vague.

    The world that once was
    Free from sin-a world where
    Anger-hatred-lies to fall in
    The world that ate forbidden
    Fruit, that sends our
    Bones to hell
    Biblical verses of
    Old that still
    Prevail.

The world that we use to know
The world as we see it gone
The world as we live in it
    Vague.

Hi Monica. Hope the summer is going good for you. I'm enjoying it so far. I was able to go sailing last Sunday and it was in the low 90's so it was a perfect day for it.

I see you read Sizzle by Julie Garwood. What did you think of it? I was a little disappointed myself. I loved Mercy and many of the ones that followed it. I actully love the Buchannan family, but IMHO, something was missing in Sizzle. Just wondering what your take was on it. Happy reading.

    Hi Monica,
If you liked the Brigerton Series and the Bewcastle Series by Julia Quinn and Mary Balogh, you will also like the Wallflower Series by Klepas. She has a sense of humor along with being very romantic. Some of them get very descriptive.

Hi Monica, I've been updating my bookshelf, and I was reminded of a great romance book: The Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas. Have you read those? It was part of a series too, I think this was the last and best one.

I had forgotten all about VC Andrews. I enjoyed flowers in the attic and then I just got tired of all. I think I read three of them and just gave up. I don't believe I forgot chances by Jackie Collins. While I was reading it, I thought it was the best book ever written. How could I forget? And Bloodline - Geez!! I'm embarrassed. It feels good to know that we do read a lot of the same books. I look at other shelves and NONE of them are familiar. Well, I'm getting off work now - yippie!!! I am reading Linda Lael Miller's High Country Bride book one of a trilogy. You probably already read this one. The McKettrick cowboys of Arizona. I'm having a ball. with it. I was thinking of sorting them year instead of author. I haven't decided yet. Have a good night.

I just got finished browsing through your shelf. I am trying to put all the books I've read on my shelf and yours was a great help because you have read many that I forgot about. Also, there were some Julie Garwoods I didn't know about. The Garwoods I have read have been ebooks. I found a bunch on your shelf that are most likely not ebooks. I'll get them soon from Amazon. Hope all is going well with you.

I just added a bunch of Julia Quinn, Dorothy Garlock, and Mary Balogh books to my shelf. It is getting scary to realize how many books I have gone through. Most of these new additions to my shelf are from my ereader collection. I notice I did a whole lot of reading in 05. I'm goi g to read some frontier romances for a change now. Happy reading.

    Hi Monica,
I think I read Lion's Share. Is this the one with the secretary and the boss who calls his file cabinet the metal monster? If so, I really did like this one.

Did you read Thurston House by Danielle Steel? I don't think I'll ever forget it. I'm new to Julie Garwood, Mercy was my first book by her. I also like the regency romances - Mary Balogh amd the slightly series.

I see you like Danielle Steel, how about Sidney Sheldon? I just loved Dating Game. I discovered Julie Garwood and have been enjoying her romances for about a year now. Do you recommend anything from The Danielle Steel collection?

Hi Monica: general fiction, romance and suspense books are great, but why not step out the box and try a book that's raw and gritty? The title: Love Trumps Game by d.y. phillips. Head over to amazon.com to check out the reviews on this page turner.

  • The Ancient One

    The Ancient One says

    It is a Beauteous Evening

IT is a beauteous evening, calm and free,
The holy time is quiet as a nun
Breathless with adoration; the broad sun
    Is sinking down in its tranquility;
The gentleness of heaven broods o'er the sea:
Listen! the mighty Being is awake,
And doth with his eternal motion make
A sound like thunder - everlastingly.
Dear Child! dear Girl! that walkest with me here,
If thou appear untouched by solemn thought,
Thy nature is not therefore less divine:
Thou liest in Abraham's bosom all the year,
And worship'st at the Temple's inner shrine,
God being with thee when we know it not.
