I fell in love with reading after my mom brought me so many pocketbooks as a Christmas present. If I'm not mistaken, it was the Christmas before I started high school. At my age then, I was into reading love stories. Who wouldn't forget Francine Pascal's phenomenal Sweet Valley Series? (I really have to mention my previous addiction with love stories because it paved the way for my growth as a reader.)
As I moved into high school though, I began reading books from different genre. My maturity as a reader progressed as I got older. The books I decide to buy or borrow somehow depends on the mood I'm in or on whatever topic interests me. I remember a time when all the books I bought and read were solely of one author I liked. At some point, I also decided to read books written by authors I never yet heard of. I also experienced being stuck on reading only one genre for a period of time. Indeed, my life is filled with memories intertwined with the time I spent reading books.
My love for books made me who I am today. To know me means to know the books that has been a part of my life. I'm glad that thru Shelfari, I'm getting acquainted with people with the same interest, with the same love for books.
My shelf consists of all the love stories/Francine Pascal books that started it all down to all my other books written by Coelho, Grisham, Patterson, Sheldon, Johansen, Brown, Sparks and all the other authors that made my love for books this passionate.
There's so much book to read, but so little time (just go look at my reading list...ehehe).
