nice to see you reading something other than a children's book!! haha LOL
I just finished a great book. The Sunbirds, far away. I think you will enjoy it.
Let me know if you want any thing for Kelsey's party! Love ya
The name of the author is Rosamund Lupton, I think.
I just finished Sister by I forgot. It is a must read. It was excellent. Eileen gave it to me from her library, that's how good it is.
Love ya.
Dear Stacey,
Can you let me know if you receive this note? I signed in through Amazon and I hope that this solves the problem. This is the 3rd note that I am sending you.
Love,
Mom
You are absolutely correct. I didn't realize you hadn't read the Poison Tree yet. But I did find it on your shelf and thats why I read it.
Love ya.
I can't believe that you got to read that. I was in the Merrick Library last week and it was on the shelf and I tried to check it out but they wouldn't let me because my library is considered North Bellmore and that book could only be lent to a "Merrick Marvel" and I am not considered a marvel. Imagine that!!!!!.
Thanks for the recomendation. I will let my personal book provider know.
Also I just finished The First Rule by Robert Crais and the Murder's Daughters by Randy Susan Meyers. Loved them both.
See ya Sunday!!!
Hello and Happy Valentines Day.
I just finished reading Mornings in Jenin by Susan Abulhawa. Very Good!
Love Ya
Hello and Happy New Year.
I just finished Houri by Mehrdad Balali and found it very interesting.
You should read it. It tells a compelling story of a family in Iran during the 60's -70's.
Try it.
Love Ya
Hey Stacie--
I miss you and our Thursday discussions, too. We could really have gone nuts over the lead up to Election day (not to mention the results)! Hope to see you soon, maybe a brunch sometime with some of your co-workers?? Take care!
It was not a book I would normally have been drawn to, but it was recommended to me. It is beautifully written and compelling and very unique and unusual. It is not a perfect book in my eyes...but I think worth reading. it is refreshing to read a book these days which is so original. If you read it, I would be interested in your opinion....especially the ending.
A question for you: how do you like being a librarian? I toy with the idea of getting an MLS....but I suppose there are not many jobs anymore as a librarian.
Ok...I'll keep Brooklyn on my "to read" list! I walked over the Brooklyn Bridge a year ago with my son on our visit.....First time...even though I grew up in Queens. Oakland is becoming a great place, blossoming, with great new restaurants. That's so cool that you are a librarian....I've thought of doing that too...but I'm sure there are a scarcity of jobs in that field now....you're lucky!
How did you like "Brooklyn?" I tried reading another book by him....and couldn't wade through it? Is Brooklyn worth sticking with? Thanks!
I just finished six suspects. It was very good and different. Some chapters were better than others, only because it was easier to follow.
Love ya.
I just finished The weight of heaven. It was sooooo good. But check the subject matter.
I only read two books this week. I start volunteering tomorrow. I am excited.
Hi Stacey,
Hope you are doing well and reading a lot of good books!
Lisa Unger
New York Times bestselling author of DIE FOR YOU
Dear Stacey I just finshed Night Navigation and it was good but I don't think you would enjoy the subject matter.
P.S. how do you rate a book with say 2 and a half stars, It seems I can only do full stars. Love Ya
I just finished shatter and I really liked it. It was a page turner. Good luck this weekend. We are so excited for Kelsey
I just started "A Foreskin's Lament" and can't put it down! Verrry funny stuff!! Thanks for the recommendation.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
