I just can't get enough books. My book stack next to my bed is always tall and precariously stacked. I have library cards at 2 libraries, always maxed out and a frequent buyer card at Barnes and Noble as well as a wish list a mile long at Amazon. I make lists and lists of books that I don't want to forget to read, but I never make it to these lists before I find 10 I have to read first. My friend Margaret and I started a book club in Seattle 8 years ago and when my husband's job moved us to Utah, that was one of the hardest things to leave. My dream vacation is the vacation depicted in my profile picture. A small rustic cabin on the beach on Vancouver Island reading and reading and reading in a comfy rocking chair while listening to the waves crash below. That is my heaven. I'm forever looking for that next great engrossing read that I just can't wait to tell everyone I know about it. If I had to pick a favorite genre, it would be historical fiction, but I love biographies, the classics, children's lit, fantasy, science fiction and I'm starting to enjoy mysteries a lot more. I'm constantly nagging my kids to read this or that, they are patient with me and while they enjoy reading also, they don't keep up with my voracious appetite nearly fast enough for my taste! So many books, so little time. . . .
