You've written a beautiful summary of Craig Child's "Way Out" of which I am presently reading. You nail his style of prose, and way of seeing life straight on. This is the third book of his that I've read and am blown away with how he strings words and metaphors together to describe the beauty before him. This book, in my opinion, is the harshest, because of the sheer nakedness of his childhood memories. But, I understand better now, why he pushes himself to the extremes of nature that he does, and as a result, admire him even more.
