    “Jordan. was raised from an infant by her loving grandmother “Mommy Dear” after the death of her parents. A few years later a young Jordan.. is introduced to lost, her best friend Kimmie moves with her parents to Chicago A distraught Jordan is devastated when Kimmie left she never said good-bye, she’s left confused and hurt.



    Once again lost rears its ugly head along with pain and displacement when Mommy Dear dies and ....Jordan.... is placed in foster care. Her foster parents Ulysses and Lillie McClinton show her around their home and lays down the rules. Life at the McClintons is terribly different than life with Mommy Dear. The church they attend is nothing like the church at home, a place where a loving God is preached not this fire and brimstone God at Lillie’s church. Soon ....Jordan.... finds her relationship with the God she once knew

    buried by this new one.



    Years down the road ....Jordan.... continues her struggle in her relationship with God until life & circumstances begin to break down the wall around her heart. Throughout her life she experiences, love lost and vows to never open up again.



    Forgiveness and grace make this story a MUST read. This story will capture your heart as you become friends with ....Jordan.... and her family.

    “When the Lord spoke through the prophet Isaiah in the bible; chapter 43 verse 19 he said "I am creating something new. There it is! Do you see it"? I believe that's how Olena Day felt; the need to become a new creation from the inside out. After twenty five years of regrets and seven years of putting her career first Olena "Sr. Key Accounts Manager" in the country is afforded the opportunity to take a paid sabbatical from her job.
    In four weeks Olena will be on her way to discovering a part of her and aspects of life she thought escaped her; like finding someone to love her. However this discovery doesn't come without pain and heartache nor is it present without surprises that teach life lessons."In Love with a Younger Man" is an emotional ride through the heart of Olena as she decides who deserves to co-star in her life.   • Tempest Rising: A Novel

    “Ms McKinney-Whetstone always satiates my reading palate & Tempest Rising is no different. The story opens with the reader enveloped in the wonderful love Clarise grew up with her aunts and uncles who made a living making fine soaps, coconut and honey, by hand. Being raised by her four uncles and four aunts gives Clarise her eccentric flair for life.
    Clarise and her husband Finch also lives a comfortable lifestyle in West Philadelphia with their three daughters; Shern, Victoria and Bliss. All three siblings are as different as night and day. However different they are you can feel the same message espoused by all; respect love and obedience. Finch starts a catering company called Heavenly Caterers named after his and Clarise house they call “Heaven” life is good for them. That is until Finch begins to think on the times and where folks are spending the bulk of their money and it’s not with Heavenly Caterers.
    One day Finch decides to go crabbing to enhance his catering business; he decides to call it a “crab fest” The more he thought about it the more excited he got. Sometimes excitement gets us in situations we cannot walk away from. One that day in 1965 Clarise and her girls were introduced to despair, death and separation.
    Will Clarise be able to remove the haze in her head and care for her girls as she once did before the tragic accident? Will the aunts and uncles nurturing be enough to bring Clarise back?
    The lost many of the characters felt throughout Tempest Rising is devastating. Each character has his/her way of dealing with lost but not without the help of family and strangers. What truly encapsulated me was the reconciliation throughout the book. The lost was big but the finding of souls, spirits and hearts will stay with the reader for a long time.

    Absolutely engaging story with characters that surprise you and others who continue to grow with every page you turn. An absolute MUST READ!!!

  • Daddy's House

    “A few years ago I saw this movie titled “Final Destination” it was about a group of school aged kids taking a trip; who were supposed to die in flight but instead escaped death. Soon after their escape, they begin dying one-by-one in mysterious freak accidents. The premise of “Daddy’s House” is almost the same. The story is based on the old adage “what comes around goes around”.

    Candice obviously didn’t believe in karma she made one bad decision after another with regards to the men in her life. In the end she had two powerful individuals plotting to take her life. Together they will navigate to put her down however they can.
    Through it all Candice seems to remember the teachings of faith she learned from her grandma. But is she in too deep to be saved?

    Daddy’s House has a very unpredictable ending which will make Candice and the reader believe “what comes around goes around” I absolutely enjoyed this book LCB is really producing a lot of must reads.

    “What’s Done In The Dark

    The first of the “Lost and Found” series was a hit and I’m definitely looking for the next one. I read this one in one day it’s a fast pace ride that I didn’t want to end. In this life we all make mistakes that cost. Marcus and Lynette Clayton learned by experience that two wrongs don’t make it right, but prayer and forgiveness does. The mistakes that they made almost cost them their marriage; however when you are in relationship with God and keep Him first “all things work for the good of those who love Him”

    Ms. LaReaux has written an excellent story about a couple experiencing matters of the heart, which most wouldn’t or couldn’t handle. The range of emotions expressed by each character would leave one questioning how to love unconditionally. As I got close to the end of my ride with the Claytons’ I kept thinking nothing is about us. We must remember what’s important and no matter how much we are hurting EVERYTHING we do is for His glory.

    I am absolutely changed by Marcus and Lynette’s story and I cutesy to Ms. LaReaux for introducing me to such wonderfully developed characters. As you read What’s Done in the Dark, you can find subtle hints of who’s on the throne throughout this story. I have to say this book is a must read for all!

  • When a Man Loves a Woman

    “Ms Taylor-Jones presents a contemporary romance story wrapped within a tale of mystery & suspense. This beautifully crafted story will definitely leave its readers wanting to be loved just as Vic was by Baptiste.

    The idea of loving again was so terrifying to Victoria who prefers to be called "Vic" that she decides to close her heart and never let love in. Which for a romance novel is quite the reverse, but it gave the book a sweet difference. Sometimes one person can have enough love to sustain the buddings beginnings and that's exactly what A.J. Baptiste has."When A Man Loves A Woman" opens your heart to understanding true love and endurance.

    This was a wonderful story and all the characters quickly became alive in my life. I closed this book four days ago and I already miss them all.

  • Up Pops the Devil

    “In 1931 director Edward Sutherland wrote a movie with the same title "Up Pops the Devil" about a man who quit his job to become a novelist & his wife is not trying to hear that. Fast forward seventy-seven years to 2008 author Angela Benson writes a book titled the same and the women in Wilford "Preacher" Winters life is drawing a deaf ear to his repentance. After serving prison time Preacher decides to give up his life and give his heart to the Lord. Semi-same premise but delivered in 2 different styles. The play I believe was a comedy but this book is far from comedic. This novel is about God's unconditional love but we will get to the later on in the review.Ms. Benson characters jump right off the page and into your world. The situations are so real and on point several times I found myself pausing and thinking of my own testimony in which God's love brought me through. This review I pray does "Up Pops the Devil" justice because this book is a MUST read for every believer and non-believer. We forget that the devil gets very upset when he loses to our Father. We forget that Lucifer will stop at nothing to get us back on his team. Most importantly we forget where the real power comes from.Up Pops the Devil, is a realistic story of God's love and our choices.
    Make sure you are making the right choice and be sure the battlefield in your mind is guided by the Light and not darkness.

  • Passing For Black

    “Angela Wright's coming out story sounds so much like many of ours; painful
    scary and confusing. "Passing for Black" could have easily been titled
    "Passing". Several characters were not only passing for black but also
    passing as an ally, passing as straight and passing as royalty.

    Coming out is one tidal wave to successfully swim through without drowning, but
    when you add race, sex, love & identity to the mix drowning seems more like
    a reality than a successful swim.

    Ms. Villarosa carefully weaved a tale of what happens when you free yourself
    totally and walk into a new world. As I read "Passing for Black" I
    felt proud and excited to be able to read a book which blended the reality and
    some stereotypes of "Same Gender Loving" relationships.

    Dance with Angela as Caitlyn takes her on a roller coaster ride of emotional
    freedom.

    “Deacons Circle was one of the best mysteries I have read in a long time. Much of the book was a complete surprise to me which was a surprise. Normally I can pick up on a lot in books. I become close friends with the characters and its me walking around in it with them.

    At times it became very dangerous walking around with The Broker & Ali but you do what's necessary to decipher the story.

    Excellent story telling skills and I love how you can move around in your writing and not get lost. I also love your webpage layout, the open book.

    I just have one question what made you go with this cover? Ops two questions why Nyack”
