I read fantasy and romance. I find it difficult to get involved in a book if there is no romance in it. I read fantasy and romance. I find it difficult to get involved in a book if there is no romance in it. When I'm not reading, i'm watching TV (a LOT of TV) and movies (i don't tend to like fantasy films, in general. I think it's because they never compare with the books). Once i've seen a movie that is based on a book, I won't read the book. But if i've read a book, i'll always see the movie. Except the Twilight series. The first film was awful and I've never bothered with the rest. Vampire Diaries - the books are decent (the first 4, anyway), but the TV show is friggin fantastic.

My favourite authors are Julia Quinn, Eoin Colfer, Isobelle Carmody, and P.C (& Kristin) Cast. I keep adding authors to the list, but they are the top 4. Julia and her Bridgerton novels got me into period romance novels, and now I struggle to read anything set in modern times. I first started reading the Artemis Fowl books when I was younger, and it's still one of my favourite teen series. The House of Night novels are fantastic, I can't wait for the next book. I'm still waiting for the next Obernewytn Chronicles book. It's been 2 years since it was supposed to be published...

As for more adult fare, my two favourite series are Jeaniene Frost - Night Huntress and J.R Ward - Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I also love the Southern Vampire (Charlaine Harris) novels. « less
