The Gunslinger

“I love picking up the first book of a long series, hoping I'll get sucked in and have a lot of good books to read. Unfortunately, this fell short. I'm not sure if it was the pace or the lack of suspense or the characters, but I was waiting for this book to end so I could move on to something else. I won't be reading the other Dark Tower books. Definitely my least favorite of all the King/Bachman books I've read, which are many.”

“This was a nice, quick look into the life of Abraham Lincoln. It wasn't an exhaustive biography, but just enough info to give you more insight into why Lincoln did some of what he did. I would have liked a little more info on his family life, but I'm sure there are other books out there that cover that in greater depth.”
