The Road to a Hanging (2006) followed by Ride the Desperate Trail (2007) and Ambush at Mustang Canyon ( 2007), completes his Young Adult trilogy. The Road to a Hanging was chosen for review by Roundup Magazine and Historical Novels Review. Ambush at Mustang Canyon was a 2008 Spur Award Finalist.
Mike and his work have been featured in newspapers across Texas, including the Abilene Reporter-News, San Angelo Standard-Times, New Braunfels Herald-Zeitung, Victoria Advocate, Carrollton Leader, and the Brownwood Bulletin. Dorchester Publishing, a New York house acquired the mass-market rights to Mike's books in 2007.
Mike's most recent works include, The Taken (2008), and The Last Renegade (2008).
