“The dramatic story of Jane Eyre is full of feeling, but not only. The impossible standards and ways of thinking of that time are made understandable by her clear reasoning, which not only the characters in the book admired, but I did, too. Jane Eyre is a very strong female figure, and, because of that, she is revolutionary. At that time, she choose to pursue what her mind told her over her heart and with stubborness and ambition she overcame adversities. Only when brain and heart went hand in hand did she follow their lead. Her story brings, for that time, a daring view on class, religion, English education, feminism and even love. It's a good novel, truly, although a perfect construct, impossible to fool us into believeing it, it touches one's heart and mind. ”

“I must confess I was a bit disappointed, because the first 100 pages were quite a bore. However, it became interesting after that and I read what was left in two afternoons or so. “I must confess I was a bit disappointed, because the first 100 pages were quite a bore. However, it became interesting after that and I read what was left in two afternoons or so. It’s a well-written story, very carnal, very descriptive, with a well-structured universe to draw on. Ramon Espejo, the main character, is a bastard who kills a man and runs in the wilderness to escape. There, he is confronted with strange forces, and, even stranger than that, with himself. That confrontation brings enough insight to lead to death, and a new life, also. It’s been a good read, after all.

Also, I want to add that, after I’ve thought more of Hunter’s Run by Geroge R. R. Martin & Gardner Dozois & Daniel Abraham, it has got running through my mind something which I realized is common of sci-fi: the fragility of human life and the chaos in it. ”
