*Midnight Masquerade*

Umm I love vampire books as you can see. I love music, the culture, and the authenticity of where I was raised in Jamaica Queens as well as the fast pace it brings with it. I love my family, my friends and all the genuine people that surround me everyday. I enjoy connecting with people who are willing to express ideas on an intellectual level... more »

thanks for the invite! we seem to have some of the same interests. i too like to have intellectual conversations as well as silly ones. you'll find i often fall into silliness or go off on a tangent that, i'm sure, leaves everyone wondering just how i got from the topic of conversation to THAT!!!! it's what i do best!! and unexplainable, i guess.

Dear Midnight: I am an author from Massachusetts. My debut novel HUNTING THE KING was published in April.

HUNTING is a fast-paced page-turner that follows archaeologist Molly O'Dwyer into war torn Iraq in search of the remains of Jesus. Molly was five years old when she witnessed her mother die in a fire. She never knew her father, and after her mother’s death was raised on the campus of a Jesuit university. ForeWord Magazine says: "Fans of intellectual thrillers and historical fiction will find a worthy new voice in Clenott. His best invention may be Molly O’Dwyer, a genuinely likable heroine who more than holds her own in a man’s world. An ambitious scientist, she is also an observant Catholic whose heart and mind don’t always agree. Given such an auspicious start, the sequel can't come too soon." Booklist compares HUNTING favorably to DA VINCI CODE.

To get a good sense of how exciting the novel is check out the heart-pounding trailer for the book on YouTube.

    Thanks.

Halloween sounds great over there. Maybe I should move to the states!!! I haven't seen true blood yet. Checked out some scenes on YouTube. I love the books by Charlaine Harris. To be honest I don't think the show could live up to my expectations. Don't know if they'll get it over here, the show that is. I saw one or two episodes of Blood Ties but it looked cheaply made. Maybe it was just a bad episode I saw. I read the series by Tanya Huff, really good books.

Maybe I'll look into downloading both series.

I'm glad your enjoying "Halfway to the Grave. ;) And Jeaniene Frost has another book out now for that series too. Book three is on its way as well. The covers to her books are awesome aren't they?
Also if your interested I wanted to let you know I'm having a contest from October the 6th to the 11th on my blog at http://ladyvampire2u.blogspot.com . Just a small week long celebration of Halloween to come. My first online contest but I wanted to have one this year. I hope you'll come celebrate with me. ~LV~

I enjoyed Halfway to the Grave. Read One Foot in the Grave also, don't know if I liked it as much. I haven't got the rest of the Night series yet but I'll read it as soon as it arrives. Then I'll let you know what I thought of it.

Halloween is not as big over here. I was going to have a Halloween Party but I'm too lazy to organise it. Either I'll head out and dress up, or spend the evening eating lots of junk and watching horror movies. Decisions, decisions. Probably do the latter!

I'm reading Tithe by Holly Black, have you read it? I'm enjoying it so far. All about the fae, really good. I'm going to order the next two in the series. It's YA but a bit more adult than your usual YA.

I love what Halloween represents. You know when the veil between the living and dead is lifted and spirits roam the earth freely for that one night. Now that's cool!

You've dropped a hint there about her life and normalcy? I'll have to wait until I get the books to see what you're alluding to. Haven't got them yet, hopefully by the end of the week they will have arrived.

I see you read the House of Night Series. I finished Marked a few days ago and went out and bought the rest of the books in the series. Still waiting on them to arrive. I hope it goes from strength to strength. The first book hooked me anyway. Is the rest of the series as good or better, I have high hopes for it you see. Don't want to be disappointed.
