    As a recommendation, clear it with you principal, send a letter home, and try to protect yourself against potential. I know I am not your boss, but I've been down this road.

    I don't know if middle schoolers can handle it. High schoolers can. We incorporated a school wide instructional tie to the performance. It is extremely powerful.

    Flick, Here's a story for you. I see you have The Laramie Project on your shelf. When I was a high school principal, I went to the Board and convinced them to let our Theater Department put on the play. It was an unbelievable high school production. They were so thankful that they made me an Honorary Thespian at their banquet at the end of the year and let me do a cameo in awards prodcution that the spoof at the event. It was fun. Seeing that brought back some nice memories.

    HI, Flick. I am a former English teacher and currently an assistant superintendent. My page says you are a member most like me. I feel sorry for you! It will take me a while to get my shelf up to date, but so far this has been a lot of fun. I am venturing into writing and just finished my first novel. I hope not to have to be an assistant superintendent for too much longer (fat chance, right?)! If you would be interested in clicking friend, I would accept.
