Hiya K~ I hope all is well on your end -- have missed chatting with you in the groups. What have you been reading lately?
Greetings,
Re your request to change the title of Robert Ludlum's the Vulcan Possession: I've rejected the request as the problem was with Amazon's choice of covers. They have agreed to change that cover. The change should appear on Shelfari within about 3 days. I was curious about why you wanted to change the title to "The Infinity Affair" though.
Thanks,
BC
Welcome to our group Friendship for Universal Peace..:-)
Ohhh, we probably have loads of books in common. I have been a truth seeker for years and years and have amassed a rather diverse collection of alternative spirituality books. Only in recent years have I started to realize my beliefs were aligning with eastern spirituality. I'm still kind of new kid on the block with Buddhism and eastern thought.
Oh God! ha I hope you aren't disappointed by it! It is one surreal rollercoaster of a read. Not sure how to feel after it all. You will know what I mean after you read it!
I just saw your note! Cool, glad to have inspired your interest in that book. I just saw you read a Kryon book. I met Lee Carroll this summer at an event he did here. I have never read any of his books, but it was a very interesting afternoon. He talked a bit, then channeled Kryon in front of a large audience and signed books for us. I have a signed copy of his newest book but don't own any others.
It is a good book and I have the second all waiting for me. Waiting. Tapping its foot. Looking at its watch.
Hey M, you are reading Storm Front I see. I just read that about a month ago, good book. I am looking forward to it being a good series.
Thanks! Peter David is a fabulous writer! He's funny as hell too! LOL
Hi Meregwyn! I'm following you!! :) I saw your icon in a UF/PNR group we are in together and I was like "that girl has to be awesome! She's a TNG fan!".
I checked out your shelf and I noticed you are also a Peter David Fan. I love his Star Trek Books! I've got a lot more Star Trek books on my shelf if your looking for more ideas in that area, however I've mostly moved away from them in favor of the Urban Fantasy's lately. But I've still got a LOT.
Hey, thanks! Same to you as well; I'm a big Star Wars/Star Trek fan too :)
You should. If you get enough attention on your reviews you may get selected for their Vine program. Vine is basically a product tester. Every month you get a newsletter that you pick two items(books, office supplies, electronics, etc.) from for free. Write a review on 3 of the 4 products you receive and you continue on the program. I've been trying to get on the program for awhile and have seen some who are on it get advanced copies of star wars books.
I've read some of your reviews. Do you ever put any of them up on Amazon?
I volunteered in our public school system last year, helping 2nd graders improve their reading proficiency and read Stellaluna! Thanks for bringing back fond memories:)
