I like obscure and interesting books and strange cinema..... It's usually hardest to make me read a bestseller...

Well, I really liked your poem. It was like nothing I have ever heard before, if only more people realizd that. Your photography was not too shabby either.

Well, I liked it, it was very odd indeed, but I must ask, why would you follow and try to meet those impregnable people, those men without feet?

So Sunshine... I didn't enjoy it. It's not that the concept wasn't good. The world was interesting, the characters were varied, the story had potential. But, I couldn't stand her constant digression. Always going off on tangents (long ones) about nothing at all important. I also found that there were just too many unanswered questions. Way too many. It made the plot seem completely shallow, and the characters as well. I really wanted to like it.

I will definitely check out Everything Can be Beaten. Sounds funny. I saw Menstruating Mall on your shelf, and liked the title. I'll have to look into it as well.

As for Sunshine, I'm not far into it at all. It's taking some adjusting to the world since it all seemed so normal at the very beginning. I'm afraid the constant asides from the narrator may drive me crazy. As for being a vampire fan, I am, but not of the more recent stuff. I fell in love with them with Christopher Pike, then Anne Rice. I didn't enjoy the Twilight Saga (never finished it because two books was too many), and I can't get into the Sookie Stackhouse books. I like something darker, and more complex. I've never read McKinley either, which may prove to be a good thing since many of her fans don't enjoy this one as much. I am reading it with cautious optimism. Already the world kind of reminds me of Oryx and Crake, though I'm not sure why.

I finished and reviewed the Christie book. It's a straight-forward, well thought out mystery. I really enjoyed the book, and was totally sucked in by the end. I'm not a huge fan of the mystery/thriller genre. I tend to enjoy the supernatural more, but this was still a good one.

I will definitely let you know what I think of the Christie novel. I see that you've read Lenore. What did you think? I keep picking it up at the books store, but then putting it back before I make it to the checkout. Just not sure how interested I am. I also see the you read JTHM. I love those comics. The Squee book and I Feel Sick (I think that's the title) are also pretty good.

Some of the "Titles" you have read have Titles that are off the chain.. and I find myself wanting to read simply because of that... LOL
