I was born in Kirkland Lake Ontario. I'm the youngest of a family of six (four brothers and one sister). I lived in the small community of Sesekinika an hour's drive north of Kirkland Lake until eighteen at which time I came west. I've been out west ever since, living in various locations. I've worked in Winnipeg, Portage La Prairie, in Manitoba and in Alberta, in a dog kennel near Edmonton.
I married my husband, Dennis brooks, in August 1968 and have remained married to him for the ensuring forty years. We now live in The Pas, Manitoba with our two dogs.
I love reading, swimming, animals, hiking, and I've discovered since retirement, baking. « less
