Pennsylvania transplant, living in NY for oh goodness! 16 years now (holy cow!) Love my town, it's now like home. Enjoy reading light, fluffy books, as well as non-fiction and more than my fair share of cookbooks (yes, I actually READ them!)

The Southern Vampire Mysteries (True Blood) by Charlaine Harris are AWESOME! They are definitely light fun reads and I usually get through one in a couple of days. I most definitely prefer them over Twilight but that's just my opinion. They are probably my favorite vampire romance series to date.

So how did you like the Augustine Burroughs books? I read Running with Scissors after seeing the movie. I have to be honest - I found him to be a bit self-indulgent - not really to my taste. But I've been curious about the one with the fork on the cover.

Oh I'm so proud of you! ;) Please make sure you rate your books too. Hee hee! I love working on my bookshelf. I think I need to spend more time reading than online though. I've been on PBS way too much lately playing games and I've hardly read these last few days.

I'll just wait here until you decide to update your shelf. LOL! BTW, did you notice the "Should I read this?" option. If you are debating reading a book you can shoot the question out to everyone on the site who has read it and they will respond. In fact, once you finally decide to log in, you might find on your home page that people are asking you if they should read a book that you have already read. I asked about "Love In The Time of Cholera". I got 66 yes's and 22 no's.

I have a few Sophie Kinsella books. Chick lit is not my favorite genre but I thought I would check it out. I have tons of chick lit to get me started though. They are light reads which is what I need after I read something too intense.
