I love to read, especially paranormal, historical romance, and chick lit. I work in kindergarten this year, so I'm getting to know a whole new section of the library!

This was the first Jude Deveraux book I ever read. We were stationed in Panama, the library was pretty poorly stocked, and I was desperate for something to read. I fell in love instantly, and have been a Deveraux fan ever since.

I really like this series, and Reyes has been one of my favorite characters. I'm looking forward to the other lords' stories, especially Paris and Gideon.

I enjoyed this book, but I felt like the resolution of the stories of two of the main characters got short shrift. Amy was clearly the main character, but in many ways, she was the least interesting of the trio, and even her story was left hanging a bit. I'll be passing this along for someone else to read and enjoy.

As children, Luke rescued Charity from drowning. She promised him one wish. Years later, Charity is engaged to Raoul when Luke shows up wanting to claim his wish. This is a fairy tale set out West, and is Miller at her finest.

This was an amusing romp. Ryan Knight had once been in love with Courtney Delaney, but they had broken up. Now the free spirit Ryan remembered was smothered under a bland exterior, carefully hiding from heartbreak. Courtney's Uncle Anton may hold the key to a crime Ryan is trying to solve, but Courtney won't turn Anton over to Ryan. The plot is zany with crazy characters, full of slapstick and humor.

I'm obsessed with all things Titanic, and this book is no exception. It was very exciting to know back when that there was a sequel to Lord's book A Night to Remember. I've read this book several times over the years, and I'll probably read it at least once more sometime in the future.

I loved this book. It was touching and poignant, because the author's unflinching look at her life avoided being treacly, self-pitying, or sermonising. S P O I L E R I recently saw a re-issue of this at Barnes & Noble, and was deeply saddened to learn that Lucy had died. I hope somewhere in heaven, she's having a wonderful afterlife, and that she knows how many people were moved by her life story.

I first read this as a kid in my dentist's office, and when I got the chance to buy the first five volumes in the series, I did. I still love Volume 1 best, though.

I'm saving this for when I have my own classroom, which I hope to have in fall 2008. Then I will use the posters to decorate my room.

I really enjoyed the storyline, but my appreciation of this book was marred by the reader's vocal tics. His voice was very wet, like someone who needs to suck up the spit and dry up. I found it very distracting. Luckily, Brooks' prose was so well-written that it rose above my intense dislike of the reader.
