Hey Melissa...I see you are currently reading a Louise Eldrich book. I read a book of hers years ago that I loved, and have forgotten to keep up with more of her work. Would be interested in hearing your assessment of this book once you finish. Thanks!
Josh just finished Game of Thrones and is starting the second book. You'll have to tell me what you think - he loved it.
loving it! can't wait to finish wench and get back to it, it's so hard to put down!
Was thrilled to see my book on your "plans to read" list; please let me know what you think.
If you have seen the movie, be prepared, it is completely different!
Just tell me when and where and I'll be there!
Doing good. I loved both the books you recommended, so I've decided I am going to stalk you on here and read all the ones you gave 4 & 5 stars! hehe Oh and by the way, I miss you SOOO MUCH!!
thank you it looks good
I listened to hotel world a few years ago; i liked it but it was kind of sad
Hope you are enjoying The Help! :)
Hey Melissa! Hope your summer is going well. I see you are reading Oscar Wao. That's been on my TBR (to be read) shelf for quite a while, so I'd be interested in hearing your take on it. Seems to me that I've heard both good and bad things about it, which is why it hasn't moved up the pile to be read yet.
Ah, I hadn't heard of that one yet! I know I've read something by Carolyn Parkhurst in the past, though...I think it was that one about the man who tries to communicate with his dog. Did you read that one?
Hey, Melissa! I was wondering what book has really captured you so far in 2010? For me, it would be The Things That Keep Us Here by Carla Buckley.
Hey Melissa! I'm waiting eagerly to hear whether Hornet's Nest has the same slow start that Dragon Tattoo did. I'm still undecided on whether to continue with the trilogy later on, but I've decided not to for now.
yes you can read one night @the call center.....itz really entertaing ......but no sot mmch values in this novel...itz all about a call centre and itz employees......but am sure it will never bore for you.............
nice! I started listening to a book by Francis Mayes, author of Bella Tuscany, which I loved. She doesn't sound like I thought she did (in my head) and it's bothering me. I hope I can get past it!
That's so funny because at first I liked it and got through the beginning really fast, but about the last 200 pages i hated!
Feb 25-Mar2
I borrowed Lost and Found from a friend. I'm still trying REALLY hard to not pick out my vacay books yet. I'm am now half way through Magus, 350 pages to go.
Hey! Sorry I'm responding so late! One of my students was actually reading his books and told me how good they are. I've read some of his essays in magazines, but not his fiction, so I figured I should check them out. Thanks for the recommendation!
