Ahhhhh, how was it?
Hey, where are all these new books comin' from?
Yeah, I'll be sure to do a review. I'm about halfway through and I absolutely love it so far. Do I correctly recall that you started it? Or not? I don't know.
Are you in the realm of ramosh?
On a scale of 1-10 how freaked out are you by the frequent Scientology ads on shelfari?Okay, 11.
Hahah, but you've READ way more books, and own more. I just have a lot of books on my wish list.
Yeah we've probably read like 10, let's be honest about this. My goal in life it is to read my books. I mean...even if i never bought another book again in my life, that's a lot of goddamn reading, you know?
Does it surprise you that we only have 159 books in common?
Yeah, I mean, a lady's got to have her priorities, and right now it's the Namesake. whaaat.
Too bad i can't read the wordy shipmates
Look at all of your admirers...if they only knew you. Ha. I'm trying to get this thing working but god is it tedious to go through them all, not to mention try to transfer all my librarything tags...I can't wait until my room is clean and I get to go through all of these piles and admit how many more books I've spent my nonexistent money on.
hey i like reading biographies, philosophical and factual stuff.Any good book you would recommend?sorry i m new to this site so dont know how it works.
Thanks for the advice on Mists of Avalon. I especailly appreciate that you reviewed my profile to gage if it would be appropriate for my tastes. I have started reading it today, and so far so good! Thanks, again.
I love your profile tag, succinct yet very telling. Also enjoy your insightful and to-the-point reviews. Will check back periodically for more doses of sardonic wit and smart writing.
Would like to invite you to be a freind and join the Maryland Book Club Group, if you like. I am an author and would also like to have you at my Novel's Release Party in April, 2008 at the B&N in Pikesville, MD. Have a wonderful Holiday Season. Skip. You may view my novel at www.skipstover.com
Yeah. I loved Vernon God Little too. It's one of favorite books of all time actually. You should like The Worthy. It's somewhat similar, though there's more plot and (unfortunately) less of those exquisite metaphors that Vernon loves.
It depends on what kind of lit you like. I tend to like the real raw and macabre contemporary authors. In that case, I'd start with Toni Morrison's Bluest Eye, then maybe As I Lay Dying by Faulkner. For more contemporary stuff, you might try The Worthy by Will Clarke or DBC Pierre's Vernon God Little.
Interesting bookshelf. I wonder what period of time did you need to read those books. I also found some which I haven't listed in mine.Nice to meet you, keen reader :)
Spraypainted on the inside of a cave: "Aristotle was here, bitchiz".You sound cool, I like your book shelf. Check me out, kay?
