I usually prefer to read YA fantasy, paranormal, science fiction and historical fiction books (with a bit of romance in them) but if a friend... more »

Hi there Film! Just checking in to see how you are doing. Its been about 9 months since I last got in touch, not long after the disastrous floods that devastated your home.I hope you havent be affected by this years torrential rain too.It has been an horrendous year for rain all over the globe1.Hope you and your family are fine.
You never really reconnected with I am Not A Book Snob Group after all your problems last year.I am going to resurrect the YA Book Nook thread, discussing YA books ,and I was hoping you could occasionally just copy and paste some of your reviews for the group review section. You were a highly valued reviewer for our group, and have been sadly missed.Your excellent reviews, fresh viewpoints, and generally enjoyable comments were a major asset to the group.we have been rather dull and dead lately. For 6 months I had major eye problems, but I finally had an operation in August, and am gradually coming back to full capacity, which is a relief.I Am Not a Booksnob.or Booknabbers as we more easily refer to ourselves, has been an excellent group, but after Tallulah left suddenly last year,we went into shock,I think, and are hopefully now gradually coming back.I fully believe that a widespread group, covering all sorts of genres, has a place on shelfari, which lately seems to have fragmented into single genre groups. If you could occasionally just copy and paste reviews that you have posted to other groups onto the Booknabbers,I would be so grateful. No obligation, nor pressure, however! I dont want to force you to do anything which is distasteful or boring to you.
In any case,I hope for good luck for your family, and hope you can continue to get in some quality reading.Happy reading
Oh no! That's terrible! I have seen reports on the news, and I have never seen a flood take so long, its very strange. And the thought of all the clean-up afterwards is so depressing.Take care, and pop up when you can.Have you seen the major reduction in reviews since you've been gone? lol
Hi Film, good to see you back. Not sure if you are in China or home. When you said you were going back to China to pack and go home, then there was a long ominous pause, and I thought you had disappeared for good.We have missed your great reviews on the Booknabbers so much.
Yay! Human Nature! The script was awesome, and David Tennant's acting was amazing. After you finish the 2 parter, don't blink! Hehe, IMO Neil Gaiman's episode was one of the best episodes of season 6. :p
Season 6 finale! In 3 days! AHH!
So what's next on your booklist right now?
Haha, yeah. American Gods sounds good! And you had it but didn't read it. :p
Season 6, episode 4, "The Doctor's Wife". You can just see how awesome it is from the title. :p Keep watching! And cherish the tenth Doctor...even though Matt Smith is adorable too.
