Oh, Quinn told me you got her to join Shelfari, and that she's never been on since, and Mrs. N said you were a good student... Yeah, I did that summer academy thing, and I'm glad I did, because it just makes my transcript so much more diverse, being able to take more AP classes.

Well, Nickerson is making us take a test today, so I really better (but never will) study.

Well, I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I just finished the fourth book in the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. We (the girls and I) started reading them at the end of the summer (when it was slightly more acceptiable to read dumb books?!), and I had to finish before I could dig in to real school stuff. So, now I'm ready! Everything I've read this summer is on my shelf...check it out. :) Glad to hear that things are going so well! :) ~Mrs. N

I go to BP. I'm a sophomore in Nickerson's LA303 class, which rocks, by the way. I had Quinn as well. They both mentioned you in relation to Shelfari, if you wanted to know.

Matt! Way to go on the exam! How is college treating you? Any time to read for fun, or just school books at the moment? School started! New APEs to train! But always plenty of books to read! :) ~Mrs. N

Yes! I've meant to join since Mrs. N mentioned it during the school year, but things got in the way and then I forgot!!

I see you've read Kite Runner- did you like it? I've been meaning to read it soon, but then I pick up another book and read it, and then another...

    Hey, Matt.
    Thanks for the note!
Interesting that you saw my Little Children comments. Since writing that I did watch the movie myself and realized that the book wasn't, perhaps, as horrible as I'd remembered it. But I think that when you have little children (while reading such a book), the possibility that they are threatened in their very own neighborhood is very troubling. So it was personal, for sure!

As for Memory Keeper's Daughter, I just thought some things were a little underdeveloped. Like you I loved the motivation of the book...the initial setup...etc., BUT...some things didn't make sense to me--sending someone 100 miles away with a newborn when hours earlier it hadn't been safe to drive to the hospital within the same city? That didn't work for me, so I became more and more skeptical, I guess.

Anyway...great chatting with you! Enjoy the snow! I should be reading! :) Mrs. N
