These are all the books I have read about Paris since April, 2006. I love Paris. Why didn't I just move there 30 years ago? I've had a glorious time reading all of these and probably won't stop in the foreseeable future. If you can recommend any books about Paris or France, do let me know.

I adore Cara Black & I don't even like mysteries that much. I especially love her after having been to France for the first time last year & staying on Ile St. Louis!

    Hello marysued,
I looked through your list and have recently read a book a memoir about an American family's time there. Now I warn that I myself did not think it was very good, but you might its called French by Heart by Rebecca Ramsey. Have a nice day.

    Hello marysued,
I've enjoyed perusing your 93 books on Paris! Might I suggest the following title to add to your collection: "Man Ray's Montparnasse" by Herbert R. Lottman.

I made the same dream come true in 1974, milady. I had a love affair with Paris the City rather than a French woman as my lover, MarySued. But instead of simply living and working in the City of Light my dream then was to emigrate from Paris to Montreal, and yet another Bilingual country, Canada. The dream of both came true 33 years ago and I go back often to France to verify the passion is still alive!

Thanks for the recommend on "The Perfectionist." I'll have to put it on my wish list! I think the Michelin guide also comes out in English-- in any case, much of it is easily read because it's just symbols, addresses, phone, etc.
