I'm a librarian, a classical pianist, a crazy cat lady-in-training, and a Coke Zero addict. I read a lot, but I have a soft spot for fantasy, YA lit, and stories about kick-ass women. When I'm lucky, I find all three of those in one book.

Thanks for the message! I also sometimes wondered how much of himself Patrick was investing into Kvothe, but I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt and avoided that line of criticism (I'm not trying to attack Mr. Rothfuss, after all). Even with my negative review I'll still probably read the final book in the series, I'm just not optimistic about it. Maybe that will actually help me to enjoy it - the first book promised so much that it was perhaps unrealistic to expect this book to deliver them.

YAY!!! I'm so excited for you. I can't wait to hear what you think of it. It's so freaky scary but it will make you laugh at the weirdest of times...let me know if you read any more graphic novels that I absolutely should NOT miss!!!! Oh lovely Mary, the complements you deliver! Not sure how deserving I am of them. Mrs. Darcy is all politeness! ;-)

I'm holding off on "Never Let Me Go" until I can read for greater chuncks of time (maybe after football season?!?). The teenage vampire stuff is easy to pick up for five minutes, then put down.

The second two books of the Hunger Games series are pretty good, but the first is magnificent, stupendous, I-can't-believe-you-haven't-read-it-already good. One of my all-time favorites.

I nearly texted you from Walmart the other night... do you think being a fang banger for Halloween is a bad influence on Patrick? My fellow True Blood fan friend thinks he's too young/mommies need to have fun, too.

Welcome to Shelfari. I think it is a wonderful website to keep track of all the books I have read. I am a little late getting on the Dragon Tattoo bandwagon but I just finished it this weekend waiting for THE CALL to head north. I loved the LIsbeth character. Have you read them?
