    Thanks, Mary.
Oh, I'm getting a big Thanksgiving smile from something in your bio: [[ ...OC Metro magazine named Mary as one of the Hottest 25 People in Orange County (the only time her hotness has been publicly affirmed). ]]

So, you are "Hot Mary," huh? Well, I think that's too cool. lol Seriously, I'm so proud of you and your accomplishments. The closest I came to that was when Rod Diridon (former Santa Clara County Supervisor and now head of the Mineta Transportation Institute at SJSU) said I was "an iron fist in a velvet glove." That was when I published my own Building Trades Union newspaper so you can see where that might be appropriate.
Let's keep smiling together, and writing, writing, writing!

    Hi, Mary,

Since you're a mainstream author, I know you're a busy woman, but I'd be delighted if you would participate in a special feature of Shelfari's

Shelfari Author Review has chosen one of my books, 1106 GRAND BOULEVARD, for review. For a chance to win a copy in a raffle, go to:
    http://amateurdelivre.tripod.com

Also, I've started a chat thread about the review and the book at AUTHOR REVIEW CHAT (listed under Shalfari Groups or on my Shelf page.)

I'd welcome chatting with you and/or answering any questions you might have.

Looking forward to reading some of your fine novels. They all sound intriguing.

Keep your pen hot, my friend,
    Betty Dravis

    Hi, Mary,
Congrats on your successful writing career. I'm going to look up your book, BM&HT, and add it to my shelf.

Your career (journalism to author) parallels mine, with the exception that Cosmo never chose one of my novels as a Red Hot Read, although people who've read my 1106 GRAND BOULEVARD about my sister and her seven marriages, think it is! ... lol ...

And I did not grow up in a haunted house, but my bedroom was the room beneath the gable of the house pictured on the cover of GRAND.

And San Jose Mercury News names me one of the TOP WOMEN OF ACHIEVEMENT in the 1980s.

Anyway, I would like you to be my Shelfari Friend.
