About my shelf: though I read about a book a week, I will not ever be ranked on Shelfari for the widest bookshelf. Even if I have read everything a particular author ever published, you won't see whole series listed volume by volume on my shelf. (Well, except The Forsyte Saga, which I consider to be in a class by itself.) If it's on my shelf, it's because it means something to me or I enjoyed it enough to re-read it, at least. If it's part of a series, it probably stands for the whole series, because if I could read one volume without reading the rest, it wasn't good enough to go on the shelf at all.
