Novangelus

I live in Holden, Massachusetts, located in the central part of the state about 45 miles west of Boston. It's a very pretty town with lots of hills in a beautiful area, not too far away from Mount Wachusett. Holden is very hilly and high up; we tend to get more snow than most!

Oops, do I feel stupid. Sorry.
Now that you say that, and I look closer, I see her.

Thanks. That's a picture of Face, one of my four cats. (Her name is Face because we thought she was a boy and named her Face Man after the guy on The A-Team. Oops.) Bit of a shadow on your photo. Is that a kitty you're holding?
Gonna check out your ADD group as soon as I get a chance this evening. Always on the lookout for new groups. Hope on over to the Friendship for Universal Peace group when you get a chance. (http://www.shelfari.com/groups/12965/about) Love to have you.

Yeah, isn't it amazing the difference cropping can make. One minute they look like little angels...crop, crop...the devil makes an appearance. :-)

Petunia. What a great name for a cat. We raised a litter of six and ended up keeping four. It was hard naming some. Blondie for instance. I know it's a girl's name, but he was such a quiet thing when he was little, not much personality, so he got his name from his coloring. He has a sister named Face, one named Eddie and a brother named Major.
How did you get so close for your picture? Or is this a clever "crop" photo? :-)

We ought to write a little more in the discussions. I think it'll get the other members going.

Thanks for the add to your friend list! We do have many books in common. Dragon of the Lost Sea is a great fantasy book for young people and old foggies like me too. It is the first in a series by Laurence Yep and the following pretty much describs this book: The outlawed princess of the Dragon Clan and her young human companion undergo fearsome trials in their quest for an evil enchantress.‘Dramatic tension stays high.Weaves Chinese legend into an exciting tapestry of myth and folklore.

We did an experiment with our son last year. The first semester of his freshman year of high school he decided he no longer wanted to take his ADD meds because he didn't like the way they made him feel. He thought he no longer needed them. Well, since you can't FORCE someone to take a pill. I warned him and took him off the pills. Well, long story short, he got three Fs on his report card that term and asked me to bring him back to the doctor to get some medication. Now he realizes that he needs them --- and takes them without any arguement. But he had to come to that realization by himself. Last term he made the B honor roll!

If you do start that group, I'd definitely be interested in joining.

BTW: if the meds the docs give make him hyper instead of focused, it's not ADD. There's a chemical "imbalance" involved. I've known a few kids that were misdiagnosed.
