“This is the single best metaphysics book of the 80s. It is a must read for anyone interested in Metaphysics, Philosophy of Logic, and Philosophy of Language. It should be read even more widely though.
The main purpose of this book is to argue that the philosophical view that there are *concrete* possible worlds is very useful. Because of this usefulness, Lewis thinks that this is a good enough reason to think that this view is true. ”
