I am a school librarian - my DREAM job. I LOVE to read and I will read just about anything. I like to read a variety of different books so that I can reach each student and help them find something they will enjoy reading.

    Reality Check

I enjoyed this book, although it is a little predictable. Also, the main character seems a bit unbelievable at times. It is suspenseful, though, and a good "listen."

A little slow at first, but all in all a good read, in keeping with Giles's style

Amazing story of the strength and resilience that is possessed by the human soul. Louie Zamperrini goes from mischievous child to hell-raiser teen to Olympic record-breaker to Officer in WWII to castaway in the South Pacific to POW suffering horrendous abuse at the hand of the Japanese to rescued adult plagued with flashbacks of the abuse.

An incredibly motivating story of the life that we all possess inside that does not have to be squelched, even through the most terrible circumstances.

Love me some Gordon Korman! This book captures the humor, the action, the romance and the deeper meaning, all in one! Vince Luca, son of a big mobster, falls for Kendra, daughter of the FBI. Hilarity ensues, and Vince finds his motivation.

This time, the lunch lady and the breakfast bunch help to catch art thieves trying to make off with the collection from the museum. The colorful graphics are great, but I found the story to be weaker than the others. Still good, but not roll-on-the-floor hilarious.
