When I was growing up, my family didn't make a big deal about books. Learning was deemed important but somehow my parents didn't equate that to reading. In the last 20 years I've made up for lost time. In fact, the only thing I won't miss about my son's toddler years is my lack of time to read more. What do I read most? Fast-paced fiction about... more »

    Hey Marcia,

Judging by your shelf it looks like you've read a few books on learning.

This year I'm focusing more on learning to learn. I'm a full-time college
    student taking online classes.

What books or advise do you recommend on learning to learn?
books, memory, thinking, teaching...anything of that nature.

    Thanks Marcia.

Hi Marcia! It's good to hear from you! :-) I'm with Sue; not sure how to sign up as your friend. Right now, I'm not even sure if this will send. We've been staying at my son's house for the past couple days because our power has been out. (Fifty five degrees is not my comfort zone for indoors!) It's weird that I can receive mail but not send it on my Mac Entourage server.
I just finished reading "You can't send a duck to eagle school." I think you'd like it too. Our public library is having a discussion group on "Blink" this month to which I'm looking forward to attending. :-)
    Thanks for the friendship request.

    Marcia,

I have Diane Rehm's book Finding My Voice. Read it a couple of years ago. Want me to send it to you? I see it's on your wish list.

MarciaMarcia...found you on Phil's biz book group. I was wondering...how did you like Michael Crichton's "Travels?" I was thinking of getting it - I love him and it sounds interesting. Just wondering what you thought.

    Warmly,
