Actually, I can't read. I don't know what I am doing here. My whole life is a lie.

I am also a journalist.

Mikael, thanks for responding to my note. I'm looking forward to reading your comments and reviews of Jack Vance's stories. As you can see from my Shelfari bookshelf I am a huge fan of his works! Enjoy and READ ON...

Thanks for the awesome suggestions Mikael, I think I would definitely like the 2 series you mentioned and added it to the list of books I will read. While browsing for the books you mentioned, I discovered the Rain Wild Chronicles which I am also very interested in. Cheers!

Mikael, I read through about 60% of the story and couldn't take anymore. I don't really enjoy books where I can't relate to the characters portrayed in the story and Neuromancer is just such a story. I don't feel any connection to anyone in the story. I love the wordsmithery, pacing, and detailed backdrops, but nothing else. I was really looking forward to reading it based on the reviews but was sorely dissapointed when I finally got around to reading it, hate it when that happens. I found the same to be true with Neil Gaiman's stories, they just aren't my cup of tea. So many books to read, so little time :). READ ON...

Mikael, thank your for your kind comments about my bookshelf, yours is impressive also. I'm currently on a mission to read all of the Jack Vance stories I can find before the end of the year. He is one of my favorite sci/fi adventure authors but some of his books are hard to find and can be prohibitively expensive. I think you would really enjoy his "Night Lamp," "Planet of Adventure," "The Cadwal Chronicles," "Lyonesse Trilogy," and "Tales of the Dying Earth." Also, on the fantasy/adventure side of things, check out "The Grey Mane of Morning" and "Red Moon and Black Mountain" by Joy Chant, and "The First Law Trilogy" by Joe Abercrombie, they're great! Enjoy and READ ON...
