    Popped

    by Carol Higgins Clark

I really enjoyed this book. I love the characters and the way they interacted with each other. It makes me want to go to the balloon festival! I also liked the ending with Regan and Jack getting engaged. It was very romantic the way he proposed. The best thing is that this book was a quick fun read that made me laugh.

    THE BLACK DAHLIA

    by James Ellroy
    • Rated 4 stars

I have been fascinated by the Black Dahlia mystery for a long time. This book is interesting in looking at it from the police point of view. It got alittle gorey for me but kept me turning the pages. The end was very good. Just as I was sure he had solved it something else would change. I'm not sure I want to see the movie now because the book was so good.

I loved this book! it was hard to put down. The mixture of romance, action, relationships and esp was well done. I cried and smiled during this book and enjoyed the love story.

This was a great read. I liked the way the author wrote about each wife and gave often not known facts . It was also interesting which wives were first to do certain things.

This book helped me to understand my son from the time he was born on up. I would ask my husband if he did what our son was doing at the same age and he could not remember. This book reasurred me that my son was developing normally. It even came in handy when i became a den leader for my sons cub scout den.

I really enjoyed looking at the civil war from a different angle. their blunders on both sides. It was kind of handy when I watched the movie, Cold Mountain, and I knew what was going to happen in the battle scene.

  • Faith of Our Mothers: The Stories of Presidential Mothers from Mary Washington to Barbara Bush

I found it really intersting how the mothers of our presidents raised and felt about their sons and how the sons felt about their mothers. I found it intersting that many of the early presidents mothers wanted them to become ministers.

This is one of my favorite books. I read it once a year. It is a great story with romance, humor and mystery. The main character even reads a "new" book by Jane Austen. I read it to my husband last year and he enjoyed it too! He even got me another copy for christmas because my copy was wearing out. I only wish I could get it in hardback.

  • Darcy & Elizabeth: Nights and Days at Pemberley

I liked the way the author spun some of the characters story lines. however, I didn't like the way she wrote it. I often was not sure if I was in the present or past as I read. This became very irritating after awhile. I did like the way Whickham got his in the end.
