Right now, I'm heavily into Paranormal Romance/Suspense/Thrillers, key word Paranormal. :) Also included on my shelf are several books I remember reading in the pre-teen years and a handful of teenage favorites. When I was in Grade school and into Middle school, I also read much of The Boxcar Children series, several Nancy Drew, and most of The Babysitter's Club.
I really enjoyed reading when I was a kid, however once school started forcing us to read books I didn't like (well, most of them I didn't like), it really hurt my desire to continue reading. Into adulthood, I wasn't granted much time to read, but ended up really enjoying The Left Behind Series.
Now, I am in my 30's, married and a mother of 2 boys (ages 7 & 3) and fixing to give birth to a beautiful baby girl.
Last fall, I was encouraged to read Twilight by several of my friends. While I'm not quite the "fan girl" most women & girls are, I still really enjoyed the books and I will forever be grateful to Stephanie Meyer for reminding me how much I enjoyed reading.
Also included on my shelf are a few books that my 7-yr-old son and I are reading. I am so thrilled that he seems to be showing a similar intrest in books that I had at that age. I have to keep reminding myself - one book at a time. :)
