Same here. It was a totally different prospective to what we know about the Pandavs, Mahabharat and Panchali. Read the book a month ago, just when it came in the market.
It is definitely not a very short one. But it is one book which you can leisurely read over time. The fact that you have seen the movie, will make the experience more enjoyable. If you want to read a short sweet book then there is a good one ' No. 1 ladies detective agency' by Alexander McaulSmith (I think that is the author's name)

Yes the movie has been done very nicel. In fact there are very few movies made from books, which compliment the book/novel. If you liked the movie, you will enjoy the book also. Do read it
