I love to read! I started a book club at the local library 7 years ago and I have a web page that is devoted to my reading group and passion. I belong to an on-line reading group and I have picked up some great books and authors from this fun bunch. "The Novel Ladies"

  • Payback (Zebra Romance)

I'm enjoying the paybacks the women's club is dishing out with a vengence. Need to get back to the series and see how the other women have faired correcting all the wrongs.

The story moved along enough to turn the pages, but it lacked a certain quality in its prose. The romance was weak and many of the characters were a bit dull. I have read other Heather Graham novels and loved them so not sure where this one went wrong.

  • Girls Just Wanna Have Guns: A Bobbie Faye Novel (Bobbie Faye)

Just can't go wrong with a Bobbie Faye Caper.... or can you? Laugh out loud snorting fun. I had a hard time trying not to race through this hilarious romp of a good time. Wish I had two sexy men who wanted me.... Raunchy every single page and I loved it!

  • You Suck: A Love Story
    • Rated 5 stars

Hysterical prose. Witty, charming, classic... ! Carl Hiaasen reviewed it and loved it! Can't go wrong with this type of humor. My first book by Christopher and certainly not the last. I never imagined so much humor with Vampires before....

  • Real Murders
    • Rated 5 stars

A delightful cozy mystery set in a small town with a unique club gathering monthly to discuss old murders. Love the small town librarian, Aurora. A copycat murderer is on the loose and Roe pieces all the clues together, but will it be too late? So glad I picked up this series to try by Charlaine. She has not disappointed me yet with any of her books.

  • The 7th Victim
    • Rated 3 stars

Clearly the subject matter was fascinating and deserves 5 stars! I loved the multi task force from cops to FBI. My first book by Alan Jacobson and not my last. I just didn't think he fleshed out the characters enough plus he had to much filler drama going on at once. I look forward to Crush the second book in this series

    Still Alice

    by Lisa Genova
    • Rated 5 stars

Superb story written from the patient's viewpoints. I learn, I cried, I laughed and I mourned. Stunning prose! A must read for anyone with a family member diagnosed with on-set Alzheimer's or dementia. A must read for those who might later on experience the effects of this disease somewhere down the road.

5 stars! Didn't possibly think that book two would be funnier than the first one. I snorted and giggled to the end. What an endless list of characters so bizarre that I was wishing one was my relative. A hoot! Recommend to everyone who needs a good laugh.
