I love to read! I started a book club at the local library 7 years ago and I have a web page that is devoted to my reading group and passion. I belong to an on-line reading group and I have picked up some great books and authors from this fun bunch. "The Novel Ladies"

When I googled your site I was able to find it easily. I saw your list of summer reading books (I assume it is yours?) Can I join from afar?
I have never blogged before, so if you don't mind a distant member, let me know how to leave comments/suggestions, etc. It is a VERY professional looking page -- most impressive! Living here in Sarasota, Florida, with no pool, alas, we tend to huddle indoors in the summer -- 100% humidity and 100 degree temperatures pretty much preclude outside activities in the summer. I used to be a sun-worshipper, and we do have some of the loveliest beaches on the planet, but at my age (just shy of 50) I have to be careful of the sun, no matter how strong the sunblock! However, once it hits late September and through the winter (our dry season), it is lovely to sit outside with a pile of books waiting to be explored, with a long, tall drink and soft background music. Take care! Rachel

I'm having some trouble getting on to your page -- could you send the address in a separate note? My page can be found at my school's site: google sarasota military academy, then go to Weldome, and when the site comes up, go to Departments, Social Science, and Captain Rachel Wasserman. Let me know if it works -- if your son is school age, there might be some stuff on my pages that he might find useful -- I was a high school English teacher for about 10 years, so I have stuff on writing reports, citing sources, writing introductions and conclusions, as well as loads of history links and notes. I look forward to hearing your comments and/or suggestions on how I can improve my page. I'll keep trying your own page, but if you'd resend the address in a note it would help -- the full address on the Shelfari site is parially blocked by some visuals. Thanks!

Dear Mags: I'm honored to be asked to be one of your friends and I happily accept. I'm a high school history teacher, and I too have a web page, associated with the school in which I teach. On that page I have a Reading Corner, in which i give mini-reviews of the books I've recently read. I'm running out of room here, so I'll email you a follow-up[. I'll check out your page as well! I just read your very impressive list of favority mystery authors. I have read offerings from most of the authors you listed, but there are a few unfamiliar names there which I'll be sure to check out.
