I love to read! I started a book club at the local library 7 years ago and I have a web page that is devoted to my reading group and passion. I belong to an on-line reading group and I have picked up some great books and authors from this fun bunch. "The Novel Ladies"

    Thanks!

I'm read Van Alen Legacies right now! It's the last book in the Blue Bloods series by Melissa De La Cruz! :)

I was thinking of doing the Christmas cards with some bookmarks. I make bookmarks with my scrapbooking stuff, so I was thinking of doing a set of maybe six or twelve. I think I will go ahead and do that.

I did do the SS and I feel like a big boob. The name I got asked for nothing but trade paperbacks and the price was ranging from $15 -$20 so I asked for a list of mass market books, I bought the book mailed it and then I got my package and I can tell there is more than one book and something else. I also see where almost everyone was sending quite a bit more than I did. I feel like I should send another package, but I was going based on the rules, I did not realize everyone else was going overboard. What do you think, should I send another package?

I tend to stay up until at least 12 everynight. I stay up later on the weekends. I get up about 7:20 during the week. I like staying up late because it is so quiet at that time, I get more reading and computer time then.

I got that message too, Libby does not post every day, so what is up with that. I also thougt no rules. I feel like there is some negativity there, I am seriously considering dropping them and just staying with Novel Ladies. I also belong to a couple of other groups but they are groups you only post occasionally in. I also have my scrapbooking community I belong to. I also did not like that things were being brought up about Novel Ladies on CC long before Crystal chose to address the issue. I feel I don't have much in common with the CC anymore.

I am still getting used to this website, but I kind of like it. I sometimes am a little overwhelmed with Novel Ladies and kind feel guilty now for joining Chatting Chicks.

haha thanks! :) (I'll have to write that goodreads website down. . .) Most of the Stephen King books and Dean Koonz are my mom's, but most of the others are mine!!! :)

Thanks so much for accepting my friend request. While I have you here, I was wondering . . . would you be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here (as well as on a few other book-related sites). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Dena -- was it you the recommended the God of Animals? I just finished it and thought it was excellent. I cried my eyes out. I have to miss the discussion tomorrow for a meeting in Blair -- so bummed because I really wanted to discuss the author. Loved the character depiction -- they were all very real to me. The horse parts were heartbreaking. Anyway, thought I 'd tell you thanks for the recommendation!

Cool -- you're a journalist! I'm a banker, and an aspiring writer...I'm an English major from way back and decided a few years ago to do more writing since I've always enjoyed it. I blog quite a bit and have self-published a few books. shhh. They're my practice novels. I just finished a fiction writing class to start on my third novel. Anyway, June 9 is the next date. Hope to see you then -- or maybe I'll catch you at the library!

btw just finished diary of wimpy kid (1st one) last night with my son.

Who do you work for? It was a pretty good discussion -- did you finish the book? Almost all agreed that it started a little slow, but ended up being pretty good. Next book is either Edgar Sawtelle or Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet. Read either of those?

I loved the Glass Castle, and Lovely Bones is here on the bookshelf but it seems like I'm always reading something else. Because everytime I go to the library to return a book I never leave empty handed. I have a hard time sleeping also, but the husband would have a hissy fit If I turned on the light in the middle of the night. I try to get through the errands on the weekend as fast as I can and also the house cleaning so I have more time to read. But with lesson plans to write and making sure I have the materials for my lessons take up alot of time. I'm hoping to have more reading time during spring break. One quick question do you own all those books? I have quite a few here also but mostly are cheap finds from the library book sales.
