Hey there! I'm author Maggie Toussaint and I write both romance and mystery. I got my start writing romance and realized I enjoyed the suspense element of the story. So I tried my hand at mystery. Submissions went out and rejections came back for longer than I liked. But in 2006 my luck changed and I was picked up by both Five Star and The Wild Rose Press. A few months later I also contracted with Freya's Bower. House of Lies, a romantic suspense, came out in electronic and print format in 2007 and later won the National Readers Choice Award for Best Romantic Suspense 2007. No Second Chance, another romantic supsense from The Wild Rose Press, came out in late 2007 in ebook and Febuary 2008 in print, and it's won two cover contests. Seeing Red, a contemporary romance from Freya's Bower, came out in February 2008 and is available through Fictionwise.In June 2008, In For A Penny, my cozy from Five Star, came out in hardcover, with a large print release in September. I started a yahoo loop with some authors friends for book discussions.
