I enjoyed Shiver very much and should be receiving Ballad and Lament in the mail soon! I see you're set to read The Graveyard book. I thought it was good. Fantastic opening lines! Enjoy!

Nice to be friends, Meggie! We finally got the book in store and every time I sell one I'm getting all jumpy. After reading the English version, I'm reading the Dutch version now and I have to say that I like the translation, so you can be happy about that ^_^. I love the way you write about the wolves? Did you do a lot of research for it? Have a wonderful weekend with a lot of sunshine!

Maggie, just finished Ballad the other day! Loved it. I really enjoyed being able to get inside of James, just a little bit, and experience what he was all about. Way to put that final twist in at the end...well done. All I can say is, what's next?

The Dutch title is Huiver (which is of course shiver in English ^_^) and I love the blue & white front of the book, which is, if I'm not mistaken, the same as the English version.
I hope to order it tomorrow. I bet it's going to be a fantastic book to sell in the store.

    Haie Maggie,

Just wanted to let you know that Shiver is finally available in Dutch! And that we definitely will order it for the store. I'm going to do my very best to sell a lot of it. ^_^

    Have a wonderful weekend!

Just want to say how much I and some people I work with LOVED Shiver and Lament. Wonderful and sweet, they both were such enjoyable reads and beautifully written. I am really looking forward to Ballad in October and Linger next Fall.

See, that sounds like a challenge to me. Like, oh please Kate, stalk me better!

But I shan't. I shall remain aloof and content myself with huddling under the blankets late at night, stroking the bookplate you so kindly inscribed for me.

Yep, it's the UK edition. Nou I have to find something else to read in my vacation. Of course I have no books left to read ^_^
A friend of mine plays Harp. I love to listen to it, but I'm lousy playing it myself. It's better for everyone's ears if I keep my hands of the harp and stick with reading books!

What! I can't order the book here in Holland until October. Grrr. Oh well, then I have to wait and will come back later to tell you what I thought about it ^_^
I told my colleagues to keep an eye on your books.
BTW, is that a harp in the background! Harp music is lovely!

That's fantastic! I know Moon from their other books and I like the people working there a lot. *Is jumping from joy!*
In the beginning of, I believe, February there will be a book-exchange for the booksellers again and maybe you will be in the brochure then. I will keep my eyes on it. But I can order it myself in English of course, which is the first thing I'm going to do when I arrive at work tomorrow.

Happy hunting! I'm sure you will like them. And Paul & Chris did so many fantastic books together, so there's much for you to read and watch.
(Oh my gosh! Did I really wrote Paul Riddell... It should be Chris of course...)

    Hello Maggie,

Hmm, this site seems to be buzzzing with the news about your book Shiver ^_^. I'm very interesting in it, but I can't find it here in Holland. Since I work in a bookstore I would love to know if this book will be translated in Dutch. I think the kids in my store will love it and these kinds of books are really blooming in Holland at the moment.
About The Arrival & Hugo Cabret... weren't they fantastic! If you like childrensbooks with wonderful illustrations try the Edge Chronicles by Paul Stewart & Paul Riddell: www.randomhouse.com/kids/edgechronicles

Wishing you a lot of sunshine & good books to read (and write of course)
    Keep on reading! Greetings, Monique

I am sure I will - I've lent out my copy of Lament to anyone I can give it to and now I can pass along Shiver... Definitely fantastic additions to anyone's library!!! My eldest son (almost 12) will probably read Shiver too... he's read Lament and loved it... I think my 10 year old daughter is next in line to read Lament when it comes back from it's current reader too LOL... I was obsessed with finishing Shiver - I couldn't put it down! I started it about 1AM and turned out the light a little after 3AM LOL... I may have set myself a record. I started crying at the end... what an awesome book, thank you again for sharing your talents!
