Maggie...Psst I wonder since you've already read it and are having a tricky time mustering energy to reread it, can ya let yourself off the hook a little & maybe just check out the book analysis and comments at a site like bookbrowse.com (not sure that's the correct one) :)? Ya know...or go ahead and read it works too. The IMP in my personality is just bustin' out with lots of ideas!! :) I think it's so great that you are in a real live book club. I've always resisted these b/c they are a great idea in theory, but I have "book commitment" issues!haha Do you know what?? The short book I mentioned to you marks the very 1st book that I've committed to and read as part of a "club" of sorts(albeit here on Shelfari- the fun Shades of Love group with Zawadi :)
    I gotta celebrate this!!
You gotta keep me posted on your book funk. I just know it is fading already and you'll have your nose in a great book in no time!

Maggie!! I believe in you, I'd rather just issue you a lifetime membership in the 24 book challenge :)) Your space is held with love girrrl!
I totally get what you're saying. Have ya felt like your in a bit of a book funk? :) I know I know...I finally read a "booster book" just to break outta mine! :) (A wonderfully written & happily also short book called, When a Rainbow Dies" by Rita Williams Garcia. )
I recommend booster books, Maggie--I just came up with this term...hmm I think I like it! ha
What might be on your short booster book list!?

A sorceress with no Castaneda on her shelf? I recommend "Journey to Ixtlan" to start although Wayne Dyer's fav is "Power of Silence" which also inspired his book, "The Power of Intention"

Still on Pink Think, Mags - I always read late at night and typically fall away quickly BUT I am on my way to NYC next week and will have plenty of time to catch up. Have a magucal time with HBO and know that I adore YOU.

Hi Maggie. I removed from my book shelf the books I hadn't read and moved them to my reading list. And, yest, of course I learn from you! I live in an isolated Ivy Tower. Novels are unheard of! Thanks for the suggestions. I have read a book by Straight, yet added your suggestion. I added a Gish Jen book. What's your recommendation for a Lisa See book?
    Big love back.

    Hi Maggie!
I appreciate how sparse your shelf is, b/c it makes it easy to get a quick snapshot of what you are reading and enjoying & what you "wish to read". Fun! I just can't help but put most of my books right there on my shelfari shelf. I love seeing them all! I think that's part of the cool factor of shelfari for me, that is that I can even see them all b/c Maggie half of them are still in boxes! We moved a year ago to a "real house", BUT I'm lacking bookshelves!! Uhh where was I?! Oh yeah, so I appreciate the simplicity of your shelf & I wanted to say I zipped up a couple books for my own wish list: Channeling Mark Twain (I think that was the name LOL) & the Calamity one. They look very interesting.

Talk to ya later...I'll let you know whether or not I do make it to Madison for the Book Festival! Geesh, that's coming up, I better check out dates etc. It would be really fun, if it works out, if we could meet up at one of the "talks" or something. :)

Haven't read Calamity yet - Pink Think then calamity. I'm also excited to read Anthropology of an American Girl - see my reading list. Yes, figured out the invite feature; I'm a little slow on the uptake.
