I love to read. I dream of a day when I can be filthy rich enough to quit my job and read all day! There are not enough hours in a day for me to read. I don't have a favorite genre, although "fantasy" is not my favorite.

    From my sister-in-law: A couple good reads we have had in our Book Club;
    Plain Song - by Kent Haruf (really enjoyed this one...a group of people in a Colorado town and how their lives intersect.
    Blind Their Ponies - by Stanley Gordon West....big book...but worth the effort.!!
    These Is My Words - by Nancy Turner....really interesting read about a woman back in the pioneer days.
    The Strangeness of Beauty - by Lydia Minotoya..........loved it!
    My Sisters Keeper - by Jodi Picoult...probably my favorite read ...heartwrenching though!

    Sheryl, I told Kevin yesterday that I want to read "Mistaken Identity"! I watched the interviews yesterday and kept crying. What a story--anxious and not so anxious to read it.

    Hi dear

    I love your choices in the books you have in your shelf. I am an avid reader and have tons of books. I have to read everyday. Even if it is for 10 mins before I sleep. My day is not complete if I don't read before I sleep. Insane?

    Will put in more titles onto my shelf soon - am at work now.

    Take care and have a good weekend.

    Yes, I'm a cat lover. That's my cat Cupcake (usually Cuppy). She is a dear and funny cat. Follows me everywhere! Right now husband and I are on a cross-country trip in an RV. Cuppy is with us and is adjusting quite well, although doesn't like the days we travel when she has to be in her carrier. We just got to Oakdale, WI last evening from Marquette, MI--a very long trip, so we're probably just to hang out and relax today--and READ! Hope you're having a good day!

    Hi! Thanks for the friend invite and welcome to Shelfari! Just be warned that it is quite addictive! I have allowed it to take away what time I do find to read. But I so enjoy looking at other's shelves and belonging to a lot of different groups. Check out the different groups, you'll find a lot of interesting discussions going on and meet some great people!

    I was wondering what you thought of Life of Pi. Would you reccomend it?
